This past week,
I’ve been thinking about the importance of celebrating little victories — something that can be overlooked when you’re focused on big goals. With all of 2025 ahead of us, it feels like a good time to set up a strong framework for celebrating wins, both big and small.
Let’s dive in.
🌟 Feature Article: Why Small Wins Matter
It’s the start of a new year, which means a lot of us have big goals on our minds — whether it’s getting in prioritizing fitness, improving finances, building stronger relationships, or simply showing up for ourselves in a more intentional way. For me, that thing is training for my first half-marathon. It’s been an amazing reminder that progress isn’t just about the finish line — it’s about the little victories along the way. Some days, I crush a long run, but other days, just putting on my running shoes feels like a victory.
That same mindset can apply to whatever you’re working towards. Maybe you didn’t hit the gym 5 times this week, but you went once and took a long walk — that’s a win. Or you’re working on saving money, and while you haven’t hit your goal yet, you resisted the urge to impulse buy that new Walmart Birkin bag - that’s a win.
Don’t get me wrong, big milestones matter, but if we’re being honest the real growth happens in small, consistent (usually mundane) moments. Bottom line, don’t forget to acknowledge how far you’ve come.
What small win can you celebrate this week?
🔹 Small Step to Try This Week:
Daily Wins: Write down small wins every night before bed
Share your wins: Call a friend and just gab about the steps you took toward your bigger goals.
Break it down: Examine your biggest goal for the year and break it down into as many small steps as possible until it feels completely manageable.

📲App: The Habit App
This is the habit tracker that I use! It’s an awesome way to see all those little wins accumulate over a month, showing how you’re steadily marching toward a goal.
📖 Book: Hidden Potential: The Science of Achieving Greater Things by Adam Grant
This book is about our growth. Grant does a great job of highlighting how we develop as people when we’re willing to try new things.
🎥 Interview: Tom Holland on the Rich Roll Podcast
An extremely honest conversation about his life, where it all started, and where it’s all going. Also, a great convo for anyone looking to hear more about a sober lifestyle.
💡 Final Thought
That’s it for this week. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
